State energy outfit Enarsa is looking intothe possibility of chartering in LNG carriers following Argentina’s decision inApril to nationalise YPF, which was formerly controlled by Spain’s Repsol.
Those following the business say Argentinianoil company YPF first began looking into the feasibility of acquiring access toLNG carrier tonnage, but this was taken up by Enarsa.
While the company may eventually emerge fortonnage, possibly for short-term storage, Argentina watchers say they would notexpect any formal search to start soon.
