Argentina’s Enarsa has awarded less than half of the LNG cargoes requested in its recent supply tender, opening the door for bidders to offer in a second time on the remaining volumes.

The state buyer believes it can achieve better prices by re-tendering for the outstanding LNG before the end of the year, market players said.

Twenty-two cargoes are said to have been awarded for the country’s southerly Bahia Blanca terminal, subject to contract, with Spanish players netting the bulk.
