China National Offshore Oil Corporation has kicked off a hunt for a second floating storage and regasification unit, writes Lucy Hine.
The vessel is required for a site in Bohai Bay off Yantai in the north-eastern Shandong province, it is understood.
The cold water environment necessitates a closed-loop regasification system. Details remain sketchy at present but CNOOC is believed to want the unit to be in operation by 2014.
