Chinese LNG imports are booming this year as a result of new terminal capacity but it is doubtful there will be a spot market rush this winter.
PetroChina is working to launch operations at its second LNG plant this year but both facilities could see a subdued maiden winter as the government drags its feet on gas price reforms.
Market watchers expect a delayed start-up at Dalian LNG in September.
