Charter-hire periods on two 1970s-built LNG carriers owned by Mitsui OSK Lines offshoot BGT have been extended.
Petrobras is taking the 126,300-cbm LNG Capricorn (built 1978) for a further two years from September, it is understood.
The vessel was reported fixed at $35,000 per day under its original charter with the Brazilian oil and gas company.
If MOL has managed to renegotiate the charter-hire the new rate could be from $60,000 to $80,000 per day, brokers said.
