Brazil has taken delivery of its first LNG shipment onboard a Q-Flex sized LNG carrier.
The 210,100-cbm Al Aamriya (built 2008) arrived in Guanabara Bay on 18 April. The vessel has spent several days discharging its cargo through the Petrobras-chartered FSRU Golar Winter which is currently on station there as a floating import terminal.
Several additional Q-Flex LNG shipments are expected to be delivered to Guanabara Bay in the near future to meet increased demand for natural gas.
