Shipbuilders and contractors will submit offers next month for the front-end engineering and design of the floating liquefaction unit to serve Inpex and Shell’s Abadi LNG project, writes Lucy Hine.
Offers for the 2.5 million tonnes per annum floater had been due in at the end of this month but sources reported the deadline has been extended to 30 April.
The process has been much delayed following the arrival of Shell as project partner for Inpex but yard sources said it is now on track again.
