BG Group is carrying out a very long clarification process with three Chinese shipyards before starting its planned two-part LNG carrier newbuilding project.
Existing LNG shipbuilder Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding, Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Company and Nantong Cosco KHI Engineering Company (Nacks) submitted bids at the end of April, sources said. The offers are expected to remain under evaluation for several more months.
