AES Dominicana’s Andres LNG terminal (pictured) in the Dominican Republic received the first of its recently contracted spot cargoes this month.
Supplier BP did a swap deal with Statoil and delivered a 2.95 trillion British thermal unit cargo to the facility on 4 December on-board the142,612-cbm Arctic Discoverer (built 2006).
The volumes came from Statoil’s Snohvit LNG production plant in Hammerfest. Power player AES secured a top-up deal with long-term supplier BP for four additional cargoes in November.
