Greece’s Almi Gas will drop slots at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineeing for two new 160,000-cbm LNG carriers after failing to find employment for the ships, writes Gillian Whittaker.
“We have not been able to secure time charters for our two slots in 2014,” said Almi boss Costas Fostiropoulos (pictured). “As a result these slots will expire 30 July.”
In May, Fostiropoulos said Almi had confirmed its first pair of newbuildings with DSME.
