Yamal LNG is hosting a seminar in Moscow today to discuss options for vessels to transport cargoes in harsh Arctic conditions.
Representatives from shipowners, shipbuilders, class societies, research institutes and government officials including Deputy Transport Minister Viktor Olersky are scheduled to attend.
The proceedings include presentations on project owner Novatek’s programme of Northern Sea Route passages during 2011, the selection of cargo containment systems, and the Sabetta port and terminal that will be developed to ship out LNG cargoes from Yamal.
