Woodside has sold a minority stake for US$2 billion in its Browse LNG project to Japan Australia LNG (MIMI Browse).
The buyer has also agreed to purchase around 1.5 million tonnes per annum of the fuel from the proposed Australian liquefaction facility.
Under the equity deal, MIMI has snagged a 16% interest in the East Browse joint venture and an 8% share of the West Browse JV.
