Woodside is about to start drilling the last of three exploration wells in the Greater Pluto area off Western Australia where it is seeking expansion volumes for the Pluto LNG project.
The company has been sinking deep-water wells in the area continuously for a couple of years but results have been disappointing so far.
Woodside indicated recently it will take a break from drilling in the play once it has completed the Vucko-1, Banambu Deep-1 and Ananke-1 exploration wells.
