The US Export-Import Bank has offered its second largest loan to the Australian Pacific LNG project.
The federal export credit agency said it authorised $2.95 billion in financing to the Queensland state export project based on the major involvement of US players, including Houston supermajor ConocoPhillips and contractor Bechtel.
The Ex-Im Bank said the project will support an estimated 11,000 American jobs, including those in a supplier list featuring US businesses in Texas, Colorado, Nevada, California, Oregon and Oklahoma.
