Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is expected to propose greater cooperation between state-run Gazprom and Anglo-Dutch supermajorShell on the Sakhalin-2 LNG project.

Medvedev will discuss a plan for the two outfits to boost output at the liquefaction facility with UK Prime Minister David Cameron during his visit to Russia, according to Bloomberg.

The proposed growth is aimed at increasing supply to Asia. Gazprom owns 50% of operating company Sakhalin Energy, while Shell has 27.5%,
