Total has lifted its stake in Australia's Ichthys LNG export projectto 30%.

The French supermajor bought another 6% slice in the 8.4million tons per annum project from operator Inpex, the Japanese energy player.

No price tag was released for the increased stake.

The deal will have no impact on LNG sales arrangements,leaving Total with 900,000 tonnes per annum in off-take.
