Chevron signed a preliminary agreement to sell Japan’s Tohoku Electric 1 million tonnes per annum of LNG from the Wheatstone export project.
The 20-year sale to the utility means more than 80% of the 8.9 million tpa Wheatstone LNG volumes are committed to Asian buyers, according to Reuters.
