Australian contractor Thiess has won a A$325 million (US$352 million) deal to build the gas processing facilities for BG Group's Queensland Curtis LNG project.

The company will construct six field compression stations and one central processing plant in the Surat Basin.

The facilities will process gas before it is transported to the liquefaction trains in Gladstone.

Thiess will kick off work this month and expects to commission the infrastructure in the first half of next year.
