A crush of customers have expressed interest in buying LNG produced by Excelerate Energy’s first floating liquefaction unit.
The company is planning to install a 3 million to 4 million tonnes per annum floater at Port Lavaca, Texas, on the US Gulf Coast.
President and chief executive Rob Bryngelson said: “We have had at least five companies or banks come in and say they want the entire capacity and in some cases offer equity or finance.
