Two developers in the US have lodged formal applications to construct liquefaction projects totalling nearly 30 million tonnes per annum.

Freeport LNG and Cheniere Energy have completed the pre-filing process at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and moved to the full permitting phase for their plans.
