French engineering outfit Technip has landed a flexible pipe supply contract for the Ichthys LNG project in Australia.
Operator Inpex made the award, which will see Technip provide 3 kilometres of smooth bore, 10-inch flexible gas export risers and 3 kilometres of 12-inch production risers for the gas field.
Technip’s operating centre in Perth will execute the contract, said the company. The flexible risers will be manufactured at Technip’s plant in Le Trait, France.
