The Western Australian state government has given provisional approval to the LNG processing hub at James Price Point that Woodside is aiming to use for the Browse export project.
The Environmental Protection Authority released its findings following a two-week delay while the state government sought legal confirmation that the EPA’s processes had been correct.
The authority said this week it is recommending the LNG precinct at James Price Point but with strict environmental conditions attached.
