BG Group has signed a deal with Spectra Energy to jointly develop plans for a feedstock pipeline which will send gas to a liquefaction project on Canada’s west coast.
The UK gas player and Canadian transportation company Spectra will each own 50% of the proposed pipeline project, which will feed BG’s planned export facility in Prince Rupert, British Columbia.
The project development agreement puts Spectra in charge of construction and operation and calls for BG to contract the entire proposed capacity.
