Supermajor Shell has stumped up $74 million to pick up the remaining shares in small-scale Norwegian LNG player Gasnor.
The Anglo-Dutch outfit, which currently has a 41.1% interest in Gasnor, signed a share purchase agreement to acquire the rest of the company. The deal is due to close in the third quarter of this year.
Shell’s move comes as it tries to build up its LNG sales business.
