Shell is studying potential LNG production projects totalling 15 million tonnes per annum in capacity.

The Anglo-Dutch supermajor, which briefed investors on its growth plans today, said the tally is on top of some 8 million tpa of Australian export capacity under construction. Shell is involved in Wheatstone LNG and Gorgon LNG, and is leading the Prelude floating LNG project.

Shell’s LNG positions already give it a role in 20 million tpa of capacity including Nigeria, Qatar and Brunei.

Meanwhile,
