Shell has firmed up a partnership with Mitsubishi, Korea Gas and PetroChina to develop a 12 million tonnes per annum LNG export plant in British Columbia.
The Anglo-Dutch supermajor holds a 40% working interest in the LNG Canada project, with the three Asian outfits each holding 20% stakes.
The proposed two-train liquefaction plant will be built near Kitimat, where Shell has already purchased a site.
