Energy services outfit ShawCor has firmed up a deal to provide pipeline coatings for the gas export pipeline serving the Ichthys LNG project in Australia.
Mitsui awarded ShawCor’s pipe coating division, Bredero Shaw, the $400 million subcontract which follows on from a letter of intent announced in November.
The Ichthys LNG developers originally tapped Mitsui for the steel pipe and pipe-coating responsibilities.
