Italian contractor Saipem plans to bid for the job of building a floating liquefaction unit for Inpex and Shell’s planned Abadi LNG project.
Speaking in a results briefing this week, Saipem chief executive Pietro Franco Tali (right) said the company would be making its play alongside new partner Kyura.
A front-end engineering and design tender for the 2.5 million tonnes per annum Abadi floater is due to emerge shortly.
