Repsol-YPF’s LNG division was minting profits in the second quarter largely thanks to sales from the Peru LNG project.
The unit brought in €168 million ($241 million) in net earnings during the period compared to €11 million in the same three months of last year.
The Spanish oil and gas company said the “spectacular” growth also received a boost from higher marketing margins at its Canaport terminal in eastern Canada.
