Qatargas 1 is slated to shut down its production trains in planned maintenance to begin next month.
Khalid al-Thani-led Qatargas announced the wider shutdown after market reports that just two of three units would be shuttered.
“Qatargas operates a rolling programme of planned maintenance at its facilities,” said a spokeswoman for the Qatari production giant.
“These necessary, planned and safe shutdowns are coordinated with all parties of our operations, shipping and customers as part of our annual maintenance planning.”
