- Canada’s InterOil said this week that Papua New Guinea has withdrawn a threat to cancel its proposed Gulf LNG export project. Earlier this year the company said it received “through an unofficial channel” a copy of a government notice of intent to tear up the 2009 project agreement. However, it will now continue negotiating until the planned liquefaction project meets government standards, Reuters reported.
