Statoil has once again halted production at its problem-ridden Hammerfest LNG export plant in Norway.
The operator said it had to shut the facility down Tuesday due to a water leak in the natural gas dryers, which causes ice to form in the cooling circuit.
The plant closure is temporary, with “big efforts…being made to get the gas liquefaction plant back online quickly”, according to Statoil.
