Work has resumed on the ExxonMobil-led PNG LNG project, which was largely spared in a mudslide in the Hides area.

A spokesperson for the US supermajor has said that the restart of construction will keep the Papua New Guinea export project on track for 2014 start-up, according to media reports.

ExxonMobil’s local subsidiary Esso Highlands said yesterday that work at Hides and Komo had halted because of the incident.
