Esso Highlands has confirmed that an employee of local landowner company KQCJV died during work on the PNG LNG project.
The ExxonMobil subsidiary, acting as operator of the export project in Papua New Guinea, said the company the man’s employer supplies materials to the MacDow and Consolidate Contractors joint venture (MCJV) for construction works in the Komo area.
Reports yesterday said the man was run over and killed by a front end loader at the Komo airfield in the Southern Highlands.
