Woodside Petroleum will soon halt its drilling activities in the search for expansion volumes for the Pluto LNG export project in Australia to evaluate its options.
The operator of the liquefaction facility, which went online in April this year, said it has had disappointing results so far in the campaign to find additional feedstock.
“While the foundation project is outperforming expectations, progress on Pluto expansion is proving more challenging,” said the outfit in its first half results statement.
