Newly created Carib Energy has signed letters of intent with a number of small-scale US liquefaction players to export LNG by shipping containers.
The company is proposing to use the boxes as a way to bring gas to industrial customers elsewhere in the Americas.
As a result, Carib could beat the queue of would-be US LNG exporters planning to build liquefaction plants to take advantage of cheap domestic prices.
