Malaysia’s Petronas Carigali has kicked off prequalification for the development of two natural gas fields that will supply the planned ninth liquefaction train at the operator’s Bintulu LNG complex in Sarawak.
The two fields to be developed are the NC3 and NC8 gas discoveries in Block SK 316 and together they are seen as capable of supplying as much as 600 million cubic feet per day of gas out of the 850 MMcfd that train 9 will require in all.
