Peru LNG has exported its first cargo to Japan.
The 155,000-cbm Trinity Arrow (built 2008) left the plant 6 April bound for the earthquake battered country, according to the Peruvian government’s official news agency.
Vessel tracking data shows the ship, on charter to Repsol and Gas Natural joint venture Stream, is in the Pacific west of Hawaii.
Much of the 4.45 million tonnes per annum plant’s export capacity is dedicated to Mexico, but off-taker Repsol has been sending cargoes to the Americas, Europe and Asia while it awaits start-up of intended destination Manzanillo LNG.
