Oil Search is expected to begin appraisal drilling shortly at its P’nyang South well, where it hopes to prove up expansion feedstock for the PNG LNG project.
The Australian explorer, a junior partner in the future export plant, completed construction of the well site last quarter.
“P’nyang South will appraise the P’nyang gas field, which Oil Search believes could be a key resource for LNG expansion activities,” Oil Search said in a quarterly operations report.
