Hoegh LNG has inked a six-month deal to charter the 126,400-cbm LNG Libra (built 1979) to the North West Shelf LNG project in Australia.

The LNG carrier is due to kick off its charter in July, following its delivery to Hoegh from previous owner Mitsui OSK Lines.

Hoegh bought the 32-year-old ship last year for slightly more than $50 million.

“We are pleased to service the North West Shelf project and look forward to developing this business relationship going forward,” said Hoegh LNG president Sveinung Stohle.
