ConocoPhillips will resume operations at its Kenai LNG export plant in Alaska next year after securing new contracts.
The operator is said to have locked in fresh gas deals and leased an LNG carrier for additional deliveries to Asia in 2012, according to the Canadian Business newspaper.
ConocoPhillips earlier said it was preparing to put the plant into “preservation mode” before revisiting its options in the spring.
