Explorer Nexus Energy has begun working with Shell and Osaka Gas on developing a potential Prelude LNG feedstock gas asset in Western Australia.
The parties have signed a non-binding heads of agreement to work exclusively to commercialise the Crux gas and liquids reservoir in the Browse basin.
“The base case development option is for Crux to become part of the Prelude LNG project currently under development by Shell,” said Nexus chairman Michael Fowler.
