- Cheniere Energy has hit back at environmental group Sierra Club’s plea to halt the construction of the Sabine Pass export project, arguing the call is without merit. The Sabine Pass Liquefaction subsidiary, which plans to build production trains at the US Gulf Coast import terminal, said the group has “failed to establish that it will suffer irreparable harm if a stay is not granted”.
