ConocoPhillips has secured another deal to send an extra LNG cargo to Japan before shuttering its Kenai export facility in Alaska.
The plant operator, which this week bought former partner Marathon Oil’s 30% stake, said the shipment will go out in mid-November.
This will be the sixth cargo since the operating venture decided to mothball the plant earlier this year and the “final for 2011”.
