Australian power solutions company MPower has won a contract for the Inpex-operated Ichthys LNG export project in the Browse basin, off the north-west coast of Western Australia. Under the deal, the oil and gas industry-focused provider will design, construct and commission an emergency power system with a value of up to A$10 million (US$10.4 million). Parent company Tag Pacific said MPower was awarded the contract by Samsung Heavy Industries against strong international competition.
