Talisman Energy has struck a deal with Japan’s Mitsubishi that will see the companies pursue LNG exports from Papua New Guinea.
The Canadian independent farmed out 20% to 40% positions in nine of its PNG licences to the Tokyo-based conglomerate.
The partners will work together to aggregate gas from the Western Province assets in an effort to export 3 million ones per annum.
