The Australian government has granted MEO Australia’s Tassie Shoal LNG export plans Major Project Facilitation status.
The MPF status will run until 31 December 2015.
This comes just a week after the developer secured a five-year extension to its environmental permit for the 3 million tonnes per annum platform-based liquefaction project.
Under the MPF system, the government helps support “a timely and efficient approvals process for the proposed developments”, according to MEO.
