Marubeni has agreed to pay US prosecutors $54.6 million (4.2 billion yen) in the Nigeria LNG bribery case.

The US Department of Justice said the Japanese trader is charged with one charge of conspiracy, and one charge of aiding and abetting violations of the Federal Corrupt Practices Act.

The settlement of those charges follows similar deals with the TSKJ consortium of France’s Technip, Italy’s Snamprogetti, US-based KBR and Japan’s JGC.
