- Tokyo Electric Power Company plans to increase LNG consumption by 1.9% in the current fiscal year to 23.3 million tonnes compared with 22.9 million tonnes in the 12 months to end-March 2012, Reuters reported.
- South Korean LNG imports jumped 15% year-on-year in April. The buying giant brought in 2.72 million tonnes during the month against 2.37 million tonnes last time. Qatar came out as the top supplier, providing the nation with more than 865,000 tonnes.
