ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil, BP and TransCanada have reached a settlement with Alaska on the development of North Slope gas with the potential for LNG exports.
The majors have been permitted to maintain their leases in the Point Thomson field so long as they begin production by May 2016 at the latest, according to The Wall Street Journal.
